This policy explains what information is collected when you use CalculatriceTaxes.ca, how it is used, and what choices you have.
The Amounts You Calculate Stay With You
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. The amount you enter, the province you choose and the direction of the calculation are processed locally, by the JavaScript code loaded with the page: none of this data is sent to a server, recorded or stored. Close the tab and nothing is left. The site has no form, no sign-up and no user account.
Traffic Statistics
The site uses Google Analytics, an audience measurement service provided by Google, to understand which pages are viewed and to improve them. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify anyone: pages viewed, referring page, device and browser type, approximate region derived from the IP address, and time spent on the page. Google Analytics sets its own cookies for this purpose.

The site also uses Microsoft Clarity, a Microsoft tool that anonymously records how visitors use the pages (clicks, scrolling, mouse movements) to improve usability, notably through heatmaps and session replays. The calculator areas are masked: the amounts you enter and the results displayed are not recorded by Clarity. Clarity sets its own cookies; the data is processed by Microsoft under its privacy statement. You can opt out of this measurement by blocking cookies in your browser.
Like any web host, our hosting provider also processes the technical logs needed for the security and proper operation of the service.
Advertising
This site may be funded by advertising. Third-party ad networks, including Google AdSense, may display ads on its pages.
These networks use cookies and similar technologies to serve and measure ads. Google, as a third-party vendor, may use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this site or to other sites. This data is collected and processed by these networks under their own policies, over which we have no control.
You can turn off personalized advertising in Google's ad settings, or opt out of advertising cookies from many providers through YourAdChoices, the opt-out tool of the Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada.
Cookies
The site itself does not set tracking cookies and does not use cookies to remember your calculations. Any cookies present come from the third-party services described above (audience measurement and advertising). Your browser lets you block or delete them; blocking them does not stop the calculator from working, since it doesn't need them.
The site's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which involves a request to Google's servers when pages are displayed.
Information You Send Us
If you write to us at [email protected] or [email protected], your email address and the content of your message are kept for as long as needed to handle your request. This information is neither sold nor passed on to third parties for commercial purposes. Please don't send personal tax information by email.
Links to Other Sites
Some pages link to external sites, including those of the Canada Revenue Agency and Revenu Québec. These sites have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read; this policy applies only to CalculatriceTaxes.ca.
Children
This site is intended for the general public and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This policy may be changed, particularly if new services are added to the site. The update date shown at the top of the page indicates the latest revision.
Person in Charge of the Protection of Personal Information
In accordance with Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), the person in charge of the protection of personal information is the operator of CalculatriceTaxes.ca. This person ensures compliance with this policy and handles requests for access, correction or withdrawal of consent, as well as privacy-related complaints.
