- a province, a tax, or an edge case you'd like to see added;

For a request to access, correct or delete personal information you've shared with us, or for any question about our privacy policy. These requests are handled in accordance with Quebec's Law 25 and Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), within a maximum of 30 days.
Before You Write to Us
Most questions already have an answer on the site:
- the frequently asked questions answer the most common questions about GST, QST and HST;
- the sales tax guide explains the calculation province by province, with worked examples;
- the reverse sales tax calculator recovers the price before tax from a total amount.
For an error report, please indicate if possible the page in question, the amount and province used, the result you got and the one you expected, and the official source for the correct figure. That makes the correction faster.
Response Time and Languages
We generally reply within 2 to 3 business days. An incorrect rate is corrected as a priority, as soon as it's verified against the official source. You can write to us in English or French.
Never Send This by Email
Protect your information. Never send your Social Insurance Number (SIN), your banking details, or your personal tax documents (notice of assessment, tax returns, statements) by email. We will never ask for them.
We don't provide personalized tax advice and can't intervene in a tax file, a return, a refund, or a dispute. For these matters, contact Revenu Québec, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA), or a licensed accountant directly.
